Mumbai (ILNS): The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) today arrested Kshitij Ravi Prasad, who was once employed with Karan Johar’s Dharma Production. The arrest came after hours of interrogation. Kshitij was reportedly evasive during his questioning and the NCB found his answers unsatisfactory.
Separate teams of the narcotics agency also grilled actors Shraddha Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and Sara Ali Khan in the drug case related to actor Sushant Sigh Rajput’s death.
At 9.45 am today Deepika reached the Mumbai Port Trust Guest House in Colaba, from where the NCB is operating. The grilling lasted five hours.
Yesterday Deepika’s business manager Karishma Prakash and Rajput’s former manager Shruti Modi were also questioned in the case. Prakash is set to face another round of grilling later today.
Karishma Prakash’s WhatsApp chats included conversations about drugs with one ‘D’ and the central agency wanted to find out who this person was, the NCB sources had said earlier.
Reportedly, Deepika Padukone has admitted that the phone number in the 2017 WhatsApp belongs to her, though, she has denied consuming drugs. Sharddha Kapoor too denied drug consumption but claimed that she saw SSR consuming drugs.
Mumbai Police have deployed adequate security at the NCB office in Mumbai as a precaution in view of the huge public attention the probe has generated.
Meanwhile, a conclusive report from the AIIMS medical team investigating Sushant’s death is also likely to come soon. It will ascertain the cause of the death of the actor.
