The Bar Council of Delhi on Saturday notified an increment in the fees payable by a candidate applying for enrolment with the Council. The candidates after will now be required to pay Rs 14,300 at the time of their enrolment after pursuing their LLB, including fees for enrolment, identity card, building fund, library fund, indigent fund, welfare fund and advocates welfare fund.
The candidates, who apply for enrolment after five years of passing Bachelor of Law, will be required to pay a total amount of Rs 20,000 at the time of their enrolment as the amount payable for various heads have been increased. All retired persons will be required to pay a total amount of Rs 35,000 to the Bar Council of Delhi.
The amount payable by candidates who apply for enrolment immediately after will include the following:
Cost of enrolment form: Rs 1,000,
Enrolment by circulation fee: Rs 5,000.
Amount for enrolment fees: Rs 600
Amount for Identity card: Rs 100
Amount for building fund: Rs 4,000
Amount for library fund: Rs 3,000
Amount for indigent fund is Rs 2,900
According to Rule 40 of the Bar Council India, the candidate will also be required to deposit Rs 700 as their contribution towards the Bar Council of Delhi’s welfare fund for advocates.
