The Allahabad High Court on Saturday summoned the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission rules to prepare the result of the preliminary examination of PCS-2020 and the complete details of the number of posts given by the State government.
The revised result of the preliminary examination has been challenged in the High Court. It has been said there was no transparency in releasing the revised results. The already selected candidates have been excluded without any mention in the revised result.
A single bench of Justice Sunita Aggarwal is hearing a Petition filed by Mahesh Singh and others. The petitioners were represented by Advocate Atul Kumar Shahi.
M.N. Singh, the Advocate of the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, sought 48 hours of time from the Court to file an affidavit as reply in this case, accepting the category-wise detailed results of PCS Pre-2020 and the release of the results by the State government. Instructions have been given to submit details of the number of vacancies provided post-wise till the next hearing.
Rules for preparing merit list of preliminary examination have also been directed to be presented on next hearing. The Court said that the Commission should file an affidavit through a gazetted officer.
The petitioners say that they were selected in the preliminary examination for the post of Child Development Project Officer. Later, the Commission released the revised result of these posts and all the selected candidates have been excluded from the merit list.
The next hearing on this matter will be held on January 25.
